Competent Crew Course
The Competent Crew course is designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of sailing, focusing on essential skills like handling sails, steering, and maintaining safety aboard. Ideal for beginners, this hands-on program builds confidence and teamwork, setting the foundation for a lifetime of maritime adventures.
Inshore Skipper
The Inshore Skipper course, in collaboration with Asian Yachting Academy, equips aspiring skippers with the skills and knowledge to confidently command a vessel in coastal waters. This comprehensive program emphasizes navigation, boat handling, and safety management, preparing participants for both recreational and competitive sailing.
Level 1 & 2 Keelboat Course
The Level 1 and 2 Keelboat courses, in collaboration with Asian Yachting Academy, provide youth sailors with a solid foundation in keelboat sailing, focusing on essential techniques and teamwork. These courses empower young sailors to build confidence on the water, mastering the skills needed for safe and enjoyable sailing experiences.
Batch 12/2024
The Competent Crew course, held from 7th to 8th December 2024 at PD World Marina, Port Dickson, Malaysia, successfully trained five sponsored youths aboard the SY RANGGA, a 38 Hood-Wauquieze vessel. Over the course of 20 hours, the participants—Andrew Sebastian Arun, Yogendran PK Sundararajan, Neshen Vel Chandra Segaran, Kisshore Varma Raman, and Yuvanesh Logesvaran—were guided by instructors Skippers Norma Noordin and Derek Tan. The comprehensive training program included essential skills such as understanding crew responsibilities, yacht construction, knot tying, engine operation, mooring techniques, sail preparation, and emergency procedures like man overboard scenarios. A heartfelt thank you to the sponsors for making this opportunity possible.
Batch 02/2025
Our next batch is scheduled on the 15th to 16th February 2025 at PD World Marina, Port Dickson, Malaysia on board SY RANGGA, 38 Hood-Wauquieze (1982). Upon successful completion of the program, the participants will receive an internationally recognized certification.
